Who we are
Quantum Native ("we", "us", "our") operates quantumnative.io, Quantris, Quantum Chess, Ponq, Bloch Invaders, and related services. This policy covers all of our properties.
Your Quantum Native account
We use Clerk for authentication. When you sign in with Google, Discord, GitHub, or supported platform accounts such as Steam where available, we receive:
- Your display name and profile picture from the provider
- Your email address
- A unique account identifier
We do not receive or store your password. Authentication is handled entirely by the provider and Clerk.
Your Quantum Native account works across our properties. Signing in on quantumnative.io uses the same account as signing in on Quantris, Quantum Chess, and other games as they join the ecosystem.
What we use your account for
On quantumnative.io
Your account is used for blog comments. We store:
- Comments you post (text, timestamp, which post)
- Emoji reactions you add to comments
- Your display name and profile picture (shown alongside your comments)
On Quantris
Your account is used for game features. We store:
- High scores and leaderboard rankings
- Achievements and progress
- Game statistics and replays
On Quantum Chess
Your account is used for game features. We store:
- Game history, results, and move records
- Ratings and leaderboard rankings
- Game statistics (moves played, quantum moves, measurements)
- Premium entitlement status, subscription status, and linked Steam ownership status where applicable
If you link Steam, we store the Steam account identifier returned by Steam and the account-link status needed to verify ownership, sign in from the desktop app, and grant bundled premium access. We do not publish your Steam account identifier unless you choose to display Steam-related profile information in a feature we provide.
With your consent, we collect analytics data using Mixpanel, including:
- Screen navigation and feature usage
- Game events (starts, completions, mode selection)
- Session recordings of your interactions with the game interface
- Device type, browser, and general location (country level)
Analytics and session recording are only activated after you accept the consent prompt. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for the site.
On other games
As we bring other games into the Quantum Native ecosystem, similar game data (scores, progress, stats) will be associated with your account.
Comment moderation
We may use automated tools (Google's Perspective API) to check comments for toxicity. Comments flagged as potentially harmful may be hidden from public view. We rate-limit comment posting to prevent spam.
Technical data
We automatically collect:
- Device type and browser information
- Anonymous usage analytics (where consent is given)
- Error reports and crash logs
On Quantris, we use Google Consent Mode v2 to gate analytics behind your consent choice. No analytics identifiers are created until you opt in.
Payments and subscriptions
We use Stripe to process web and PWA subscriptions, trials, invoices, receipts, refunds, and the customer portal. Stripe receives the payment and billing information you enter at checkout, such as card details, billing name, billing email, billing address, tax information, and payment authentication data. We receive limited Stripe records needed to operate your account, including customer ID, subscription ID, plan, status, renewal/cancellation dates, trial dates, invoice/payment status, and refund status.
We do not store full card numbers or card security codes. Stripe may process payment information according to its own terms and privacy policy.
Steam purchases and refunds are processed by Valve through Steam. For Quantum Chess Steam-linked entitlements, we use Steam ownership and authentication information only to verify eligibility, link accounts, and manage bundled premium access.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage and cookies for:
- Keeping you signed in (session tokens)
- Saving your preferences (settings, theme)
- Game progress (scores, settings)
These are necessary for the sites and games to function.

You can:
- Delete your own comments at any time
- Request a copy of your data
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
